The AIA Cleveland Summer Lecture Series exposes, promotes, and celebrates Cleveland design excellence through inspiring and provoking lectures from high-caliber architects. Practitioners of small, medium, and large firms share their portfolios with fellow architects and the public to serve as a window into their practice, aesthetic, and process.

Steve Kordalski, AIA | Principal at Kordalski Architects

“5 Design Thoughts”

Kordalski Architects maintains 5 design thoughts in projects they design.  These ideas act as the cornerstone of our process no matter the project size.  Using examples from the interior architecture portion of our portfolio, Mr. Kordalski will expand upon these 5 design thoughts.

Dave Robar, AIA | Director at vocon.

“Repurposing with Purpose”

Three projects will focus on purposeful renovation of existing structures. These projects have transformed the work lives of varied commercial organizations through strategic repurposing of both memorable and nondescript structures. These spaces also reframe the expectations of the typical workspace and leverage the unique attributes of each building to communicate company brand and culture, foster collaboration and innovation and align business strategies with the original real estate objectives.

This series is generously sponsored by Dan Binford Associates (Event Sponsor), as well as Skyline Glass.

Free to Students, Members, and the Public alike.
