Cleveland Neighborhood Progress wins state award for historic preservation

The Ohio History Connection’s State Historic Preservation Office honored Cleveland Neighborhood Progress and 14 other companies across the state for outstanding historic preservation accomplishments. These achievements were celebrated at the Ohio History Connection’s State Historic Preservation Office Awards at the Ohio History Center in Columbus on Saturday, October 24th. These awards have been presented annually since 1983 on the basis of nominations submitted from throughout the state.

Neighborhood Progress received its award in the category of Preservation Merit for leading the rehabilitation of the former St. Luke’s Hospital building at 11311 Shaker Boulevard in Cleveland’s Buckeye neighborhood. Its development subsidiary, New Village Corporation, and Noble Preservation Services were also acknowledged for their role in the project. Linda Warren, Sr. Vice President of Placemaking, accepted the award on behalf of the organization.
