Birchwood School Open House

Birchwood School is a private pre-k through 8 school located in the City of Cleveland.

From the very beginning, Birchwood’s mission has been to develop character through challenging academics. It was evident that if we were to be successful in this mission, we would need to build our program upon a first class academic curriculum and sound principles for child development. We looked to historical principles corroborated by contemporary research. This approach not only allowed us to draw important components from the best of both worlds, but also helped us to avoid misguided, educational bandwagons or the restrictions of archaic academic assumptions.
